The Albanian head of the 'Balkan Cartel' cell has been handcuffed by the Spanish police.

He is responsible for 2.3 tons of cocaine caught a few days ago on the fishing vessel "Bestarruza" where 4 crew members were arrested, including 2 Albanians. The other two are an Argentine and an African from Cabo Verde.

This narcotics cell was hit thanks to the operation of the American DEA in cooperation with the structures of the Spanish police authorities.

In addition to the drugs seized on the ship, checks in A Coruna revealed 200,000 euros in cash and a "Maserati" type vehicle owned by the head of the group. The Albanian was caught in a hotel, as he was on his way to Madrid as soon as he found out about the seizure of the cocaine load./ CNA
