Incidents at Police Station No. 3 in Tirana/ One protester arrested, four wanted

One person has been arrested, 7 have been prosecuted, and 4 others have been declared wanted for the protest held on July 4, where incidents were recorded in front of Police Station No. 3.

33-year-old EH was arrested, while the persons prosecuted are citizens KM, VK, EL, Sh. B., VD, EN and BK.

Investigations are being conducted for the criminal offenses of "Public incitement to violent acts", "Destruction of property", "Assault due to duty", "Resistance to a police officer", "Disobedience to a lawful order of a police officer", "Disturbance of public order and peace", "Organization and participation in illegal gatherings and demonstrations" and "Obstruction of the circulation of means of transport".

Investigative actions continue for the rally held on 04.07.2026. 1 citizen is arrested, 7 citizens are criminally prosecuted and 4 citizens are wanted.

As a result of the investigative actions carried out by the structures of the Tirana Local Police Directorate, under the direction of the Prosecutor's Office, in relation to the rally held on 04.07.2026, near Police Station No. 3, during which violent actions were committed against Police employees and the Police Station building, 12 citizens suspected of being involved in these actions were identified.

Following the procedural actions:

- citizen EH, 33 years old, was detained on his own initiative;

- citizens KM, VK, EL, Sh. B., VD, EN and BK were criminally prosecuted at large;

- 4 citizens were declared wanted, whose initials are not being disclosed, because the investigations are ongoing.

The investigative group continues its work to identify and bring to justice other citizens involved in the violent acts.

The procedural materials were referred to the Prosecutor's Office at the First Instance Court of General Jurisdiction in Tirana, for the criminal offenses of "Public call for violent actions", "Destruction of property", "Assault due to duty", "Opposition of a Police officer", "Disobedience to a lawful order of a Police officer", "Disturbance of public order and peace", "Organization and participation in illegal gatherings and demonstrations" and "Obstruction of the circulation of means of transport". /CNA
