Josep Borrell, the EU's foreign policy chief, has called for the resumption of humanitarian pauses in the fighting.
In a post on X, formerly Twitter, Borrell said that since the resumption of hostilities, "the already high civilian death toll continues to rise."
He said it is "imperative" that Israel respect International Humanitarian Law and "law wars".
"This is not only a moral obligation, but also a legal one. "The humanitarian pauses must resume, while simultaneously working towards a comprehensive political solution for all Palestinian territories," he wrote./ CNA
