Akuzohen se vodhën miliarda dollarë nga investitorët, nisin hetimet për platformën e kriptomonedhave, 11 të arrestuar

Policia e Hong Kongut po heton akuzat për mashtrim kundër platformës së tregtimit të kriptomonedhave JPEX pasi investitorët u ankuan për humbje 1.3 miliardë dollarë. 

Njëmbëdhjetë persona, duke përfshirë influencues të njohur, u arrestuan këtë javë pas ankesave të paraqitura nga 2,000 njerëz. Rasti mund të jetë një nga ngjarjet më të mëdha të mashtrimit në Hong Kong, raportojnë mediat vendase. 

Javën e kaluar, Komisioni i Letrave me Vlerë dhe të Ardhshme të Hong Kongut (SFC) zbuloi se JPEX me bazë në Dubai kishte funksionuar pa licencë për tregtimin e aseteve virtuale.

Shefi Ekzekutiv i Hong Kongut, John Lee tha se rregullatorët do të "monitorojnë situatën nga afër dhe do të sigurojnë që investitorët të mbrohen mjaftueshëm".
