The storm in Libya/ Over 43 thousand people, displaced from the flooded areas

Storm Daniel in Libya has caused thousands of victims, while authorities have evacuated residents in flooded areas.

The International Organization for Migration has announced that over 43,059 people have been moved from the city of Derna to safe areas.

The reason for the evacuation from Derna, in addition to the floods, is also the lack of supplies of drinking water, food or medical assistance.

We remember that storm Daniel destroyed two dams on September 10, several neighborhoods and many houses.

The number of lost lives reached 11,300, while the number of missing persons reached 10,000.
