Rainfall situation in the country/Civil Emergencies: On standby for immediate

Civil defense structures, local units and the Armed Forces have worked non-stop over the last 24 hours to manage high flows due to rainfall, clear road axes, protect homes and evacuate citizens in endangered areas.

SITUATION BY DISTRICT:

Durres District

In Sukth, the cleaning of water channels continues with two excavators, while in Ishëm, work is underway to open the road blocked by landslides. In Bubq, Mazhë and Mallkuç, work is underway to normalize the flooded areas and assist residents. In Thumanë, teams are cleaning the main channels and reinforcing the embankments.

Lezha District

In Shënkoll, intensive work is being done to close the crack in the Vaini embankment, where the Armed Forces have deployed heavy equipment and boats to prevent flooding of the Bregu i Matës plain.
In Shëngjin, work has been done to remove water from the yards of houses, buildings and hotels with 10 Armed Forces forces, 3 vehicles, 3 pumps and 11 municipal forces.
While in Kurbin and Mirditë, work is being done to clean the roads and repair the bridges. Emergency teams are on the ground to help residents whose homes are at risk from landslides.

Kukes District

Contractors are clearing stones and debris from national roads to keep the roads passable, while in Ujmisht and Zapod, work is underway to open roads blocked by landslides. In Has, damage to the damaged bridge is being assessed.

Shkodra District

In Shala, the Theth–Ndërlysaj segment has been opened, while in the Ndërlysaj–Breg-Lumi section, teams continue to work to unblock the road covered by landslides.

Gjirokaster District

In Libohova, work is underway to unblock the Suhë–Poliçan axis after the collapse of the road, while in Dropull, teams are working to control the water and restore power. In Memaliaj, work is underway on the Allkomemaj–Tepelena axis to repair the road structure. The presence of water on several axes in Gjirokastra is being monitored by local structures.

Vlora Region

The Armed Forces and local structures are working to evacuate families affected by the overflow of the Kalasë River and to unblock roads between villages. In Finiq, interventions are being made to remove the waters and support the evacuated families, while in Selenica, landslides are being cleared on the Brataj-Kuç axis. In Saranda, water is being removed from flooded homes and families are being assisted. The level of the Vjosa River continues to be monitored continuously.

Fier Region
In Lushnja, the situation is being monitored due to the Seman River overflowing into agricultural lands. There is no danger to homes. Meanwhile, local structures are guaranteeing the normal functioning of road axes, energy and water supply.

Elbasan District

On the Elbasan-Peqin and Elbasan-Librazhd axes, inert materials are being cleaned and the road axes are being freed from inert materials. Meanwhile, in Gramsh, interventions are being made with tools to prevent the Kerpicë River from overflowing its bed.

Berat District

In Berat, protective barriers are being set up and roads are being cleared due to the Osumi floods, which have flooded hundreds of hectares of land. In Poliçan and Dimal, interventions are being made in areas where the river has overflowed its banks and affected families are being helped. The Berat-Poliçan axis is being cleared of stones and debris.

Korca District

In Devoll and Miras, work is underway to repair damaged bridges, while in Denas-Lekas, the road axis, where there is water, is being monitored. In Vithkuq and Bulgarec, interventions are being made near homes at risk from the presence of water. In Maliq and Kolonjë, teams are intervening to repair the consequences of landslides.
The Roti reservoir, where the water level has increased, is being monitored.

Dibër District

In Dibër and Klos, work is underway to clean up overflowing streams and protect endangered homes. In Mat, over 40 forces with specialized vehicles have been deployed to open damaged roads, evacuate families, and manage flooding in schools and homes. In some rural areas in Dërjan, Rukaj, Macukull, and Lis, work is underway to restore traffic.

The Ministry of Defense and the National Civil Protection Agency remain in continuous monitoring and on standby for immediate intervention in case the situation deteriorates.
