The Lezha region has once again had a difficult night due to bad weather with heavy rainfall. In the Tale area, the increase in the water level of the lagoon caused damage to the embankment, causing water to flow towards residential areas.
Throughout the night, heavy equipment worked to strengthen the embankment in order to minimize further consequences.
Meanwhile, the situation has also been problematic in Mirdita, where the Rrëshen-Bukmirë road axis has collapsed at several points, risking traffic blockage. Workers and vehicles have been working all night to keep the road open and passable.
The Mayor of Mirdita, Albert Melyshi, and the Prefect of Lezhë District, Taulant Malshi, stated that this road segment has long had numerous problems, which have worsened after intense rainfall.
The Rrëshen–Bukmir road is an important artery, as it serves hundreds of residents and connects the villages of the Kaçinar Administrative Unit with the urban center./CNA
