Journalist Osman Stafa has shared a photo on social media about the conditions at the Oncology Hospital where some patients receive treatment sitting in chairs without proper medical equipment and with outdated methods and without armchairs.

 

" This is not chemotherapy.

This is survival.

At the Oncology Hospital.

In 2025, women fighting cancer are treated like this: seated in ordinary chairs, without armchairs, without privacy, without minimal conditions of dignity.

No electric syringe.

No infusion pump.

Chemotherapy is given with gravity, a practice from the 80s, with the risk of overdose, under-dose, blockage, allergic reactions without any warning. Lives at risk due to technical poverty.

No cat port.

Patients pierce their veins every time, with pain, with the risk of extravasation, with tissue being burned and destroyed. While in any normal place the port is placed at the beginning of the treatment, for safety, dignity and life.

These women are not receiving treatment.

These women are enduring a system that has given up.

This is the reality of Oncology today.

And every day that it remains silent, patients are treated in unacceptable conditions for a country that claims to be European.

This is not their story.
