Electoral Reform/ Rama makes it clear to the opposition: Impositions and

Prime Minister Edi Rama, during the Europe Day event, spoke about Electoral Reform, responding to the opposition, stating that impositions, ultimatums, and predetermined positions do not work with it.

Rama emphasized that the Socialist Party is interested in reducing the number of members of parliament and there must be a consensus for this.

"Regarding electoral reform, you should contact the leader of this process, Damian Gjiknuri, he can give you a complete overview of our approach regarding this reform. I have personally said it and I repeat it, we are open to listening patiently to those who sit at the table to talk and listen."

I believe that impositions and ultimatums and predetermined attitudes have been around long enough to realize that they don't work with me.

We are interested in reducing the number of members of parliament and I hope there will be consensus in this regard. From here, any further discussion is open. The administrative reform, the process has been developed in a comprehensive manner, hearings and discussions have been held.

"As for 2027, it is a jointly set objective, but a space has been left that could supposedly be an extension until mid-2028. We are more or less on the same wavelength. And for this reason 2030 has been set as an objective," said Rama./ CNA
