The relics of Saint Nicholas arrive in Berat/ Reception at the "Saint

The relics of the great saint, Saint Nicholas, come from the Catholic Church in Bari, Italy to stay for several days in the city of Berat.

The solemn reception of the relics was organized in the square in front of the Orthodox Cathedral "St. Demetrius", where clergy, believers and numerous representatives of the religious community gathered. The atmosphere was filled with prayers, church songs and moments of reverence for the saint.

The ceremony was attended by the Metropolitan of Berat, His Grace Asti, the Metropolitan of Korça, His Grace Anastasi, as well as other local and foreign clergy, along with various church delegations.

One of the most important moments of this Friday evening was the Holy Eucharist, a service that was held with prayers, psalms, and religious readings, creating a deep atmosphere of spiritual devotion.

Clergy and believers lined up to honor the relics of the saint, praying in front of them. Believers were also given the opportunity to receive an icon of Saint Nicholas as a memento and blessing from this special event for the Orthodox community in Berat. /CNA
