IBAR Report/ Klodian Tomorri: Rama doesn't care what is written

Journalist Klodian Tomorri has commented on the IBAR report regarding Albania's progress in the process of Albania's integration into the European Union, emphasizing that the country's European perspective is unchangeable, but it depends on the quality of governance and political developments in the country.

Invited to the Task Force show, Tomorri stated that the path to the EU remains open, but according to him, the situation is affected by the way the country is governed and by perceptions about the functioning of institutions and the electoral process.

According to the journalist, Prime Minister Edi Rama does not care at all what is written in the reports, as he himself accepts what is said, but the journalist's concern is that Rama may make another concession like the one with immunity.

"Of course, the future of Albania is in the European Union. The question is what kind of government you have in front of you. If you accept a government that has transformed the country into a narco-state, does not hold elections, has installed a regime, has rampant corruption, then the situation changes."

Look at the position in which all this is happening puts the opposition. The opposition began to create a discourse that IBAR has been wounded, IBAR is like this, IBAR is like that. While this happened to us today, it turned out that IBAR passed. Now we will sit and start the rhetoric of conditions, and they have set conditions for us, they have not set conditions for us.

Edi Rama doesn't care what they write in the reports at all. He even admits it himself. The point is that I think that along the way he will make some other concessions, including what we were talking about on the issue of immunity, and the sources are that he has declared that this path has taken the work.

What does Albania gain from this? This is what does not change anything. You continue to have governance, you continue to be a dominated economy or an economy where crime has taken a dominant position. You continue to be a country where a regime has been installed and where with elections there is little, if any, chance of it being overthrown and a political rotation created. That's it,' said journalist Klodian Tomorri./ CNA
