Defamation lawsuit by lawyer/ GJKKO acquits Berisha and 3 other Democrats

The Special Court decided today to declare Sali Berisha, Falmur Noka, Edi Paloka and Luçiano Boçi innocent at the end of the trial.

A lawsuit was filed against them for committing the criminal offense of 'Defamation' by lawyer Valentina Teodorexu.

Announcement:

1. The victim-accuser Valentina Teodorescu, on 26.06.2025, filed with the Court the request for the trial of the criminal case with the accused citizens: Sali Berisha, Flamur Noka, Edi Paloka, Luciano Boçi, etc., accused of committing the criminal offense of "Defamation", committed publicly, provided for by Article 120, paragraph two of the Criminal Code.

2. At the end of the trial, the Special Court of First Instance for Corruption and Organized Crime, with a panel composed of Judge Flojera Davidhi, with decision no. 41, dated 21.05.2026, decided:

1. The declaration of innocence of the accused Sali Berisha, Flamur Noka, Edi Paloka and Luciano Boçi, for committing the criminal offense of "Defamation", committed publicly, as provided for by Article 120, paragraph two of the Criminal Code.

2. The court costs remain as incurred.

3. An appeal may be filed against this decision at the Special Court of Appeal for Corruption and Organized Crime, within 15 (fifteen) days, starting from the day after the notification of the reasoned decision . /CNA
