"Peaceful and patriotic protests"/ Arben Malaj: In favor of investment that complies with social factors

Former Minister of Finance, Arben Malaj, commented today on developments with the 26-day protests in the country.

Speaking on a show on "Syri TV", Malaj said that peaceful, patriotic and civic model protests are taking place in Albania.

Malaj also spoke about investments, such as in the much-discussed case of Zvërnec, saying that they need to be in coordination with social factors operating in areas with natural resources.

 "I am in favor of any investment that respects the true owners, the community and a group of scientists for the protection of the natural wealth that has been granted to us. But the option that Rama presents violates these. So, what kind of investment can coexist with the demands of all the social factors that I mentioned. These are peaceful protests and secondly, they are patriotic. Thirdly, protests for which we should be grateful, since the idea was created that we cannot face neo-dictatorships", - said Malaj. /CNA
