Threat to national security/ Ikballe Berisha declared "non grata" in Albania

Interior Minister Besfort Lamallari has issued an order declaring Ikballe Huduti Berisha "persona non grata in the Republic of Albania". This will be a decision for a period of 15 years.

Ikballe Berisha's activities are considered a threat to the country, national security, and public order and safety.

The order of Interior Minister Lamallari has been sent for implementation to the State Police and the structures of the Border and Migration Directorate.

Iqballe Berisha is known for her connections with the Iranian Ayatollah regime, and has made public calls against the constitutional order in Albania. She has also appeared publicly alongside former Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad.

Prime Minister Edi Rama previously had a reaction regarding Iqballe Berisha, where he published a photo of her next to the Ayatollahs' Ahmadinejad./ CNA
