Tirana Police has issued an official response regarding the poisoning of students at the Security Academy. According to preliminary information, 31 students of the Professional College of Police Training at the Security Academy have symptoms such as fever and diarrhea. They have received the necessary medical assistance and have returned to the Academy.
Meanwhile, this morning, 29 other students from the Professional College of Police Training presented themselves at the Security Academy health center and were sent for medical assistance to the Infectious Diseases Department of the QSUT.
It is reported that a special investigative group has been established, which, in cooperation with the Police Supervision Agency (AMP) and under the direction of the Prosecutor's Office, is working to fully clarify the circumstances of the case and determine the respective responsibilities.
The National Food Authority (AKU) has taken samples of the food consumed, which will undergo laboratory analysis to determine the cause of this situation. Also, all trainees have been tested and the results are awaited to determine the cause. /CNA
