Protest, "apple of contention" at the Conference of

The citizens' protest in front of the Prime Minister's Office has led to debates between the majority and the opposition at the Conference of Speakers. DP MP Ina Zhupa has accused the majority of fabricating evidence to attack the protesters.

Zhupa said that the government should take the protesters' demands into consideration. Among other things, he said that the opposition supports citizens every day with concrete initiatives.

"It is shameful to fabricate evidence to attack the protesters. The Prime Minister deals with the protesters, while you have been assigned the task of attacking them. But the protesters despise and hate you massively. You forget or pretend to forget that the protest does not have 2, 3 or 10 protesters, as you think you are attacking. The protest represents thousands of citizens and, I repeat, they hate you.

The only way for you is to take their demands into consideration. You have no other way. We do not need to get permission to represent the citizens, because this does not need advertising. We do this every day and we do it with concrete initiatives. This is the difference between us and you: we are with the citizens, while you are with the chair”, said Zhupa. /CNA
