The Speaker of the Parliament of Albania, Niko Peleshi, met with the Holy Father, Pope Leo XIV, at the Vatican.

Through a post on social media, Peleshi writes that during the meeting he presented the Holy Father with a symbolic gift from Albania as a sign of friendship and respect.

Peleshi said that this meeting reaffirms the early ties of friendship between Albania and Vatican City, built on dialogue and shared values.
