October 29 protest/ State Police: 195 protesters under investigation, 4 people

Following the investigative and procedural actions, carried out by the local police directorates of Tirana, Elbasan, Durrës, Fier and Lezhë, under the direction of the respective prosecutors, for the documentation of the illegalities committed during yesterday's gatherings, at the connecting points of these cities, as and for the identification and prosecution of their authors, we inform you that:

- 4 citizens were arrested, 3 in Elbasan and 1 in Tirana, for the criminal offenses of "Organizing and participating in illegal gatherings and demonstrations", "Disobeying the order of a public order police officer" and/or "Obstructing the circulation of vehicles" of transport".

- The materials have been referred to the prosecutions of the General Jurisdiction, where the proceedings have started in free status for 195 citizens, namely 92 in Durrës, 36 in Fier, 33 in Tirana, 20 in Elbasan and 14 in Lezhë. 5 citizens have been declared wanted, namely 3 in Elbasan and 2 in Tirana.

-The materials have been referred to the SPAK, where the free proceedings have started for 16 deputies in the Parliament of Albania (4 in Tirana, 4 in Durrës, 3 in Fier, 3 in Elbasan and 2 in Lezhë) and for the mayor of Kavajë, for the criminal offenses "Obstruction of the circulation of means of transport", "Disturbance of public peace" and "Opposition to a public order police officer".

Yesterday, these citizens gathered at the connecting points of the cities of Tirana, Durrës, Elbasan, Fier and Lezhë and prevented the circulation of vehicles. Also, some of the gatherers have left their vehicles on the road, with the aim of blocking traffic.

The work continues to capture the citizens declared wanted, to identify the drivers of the vehicles with which the traffic was blocked, as well as under the direction of the competent prosecutors, investigations are underway to identify other citizens implicated in illegality during these gatherings./ CNA
