The prosecution requests 180 years in prison for former KLA leaders/ Fevziu:

Journalist Blendi Fevziu has reacted harshly to the request of the Specialized Prosecution Office in The Hague, which has requested 180 years in prison for the KLA, Hashim Thaçi, Kadri Veseli, Rexhep Selim and Jakup Krasniqi.

On the show Opinion, journalist Fevziu emphasized that none of them have committed crimes against humanity and are not responsible for the serious crimes committed during the Kosovo war.

"War crimes, crimes against humanity. Four leaders of a military-political structure, which never left the territory of Kosovo. Never attempted to attack another structure. Stayed and fought during the Kosovo war, especially in the years '97-'99. Neither Hashim Thaçi, nor Kadri Veseli, nor Rexhep Selimi, nor Jakup Krasniqi are the perpetrators of the murder of 1432 children, who lost their lives on the streets of Kosovo's cities and villages. Neither Hashim Thaçi, nor Kadri Veseli, nor Rexhep Selimi, nor Jakup Krasniqi are the perpetrators of the murder of over 20 thousand Albanians, about 7-8 thousand of whose remains have not yet been found, taken hostage and massacred during the Kosovo war.

Neither Hashim Thaçi, nor Kadri Veseli, nor Rexhep Selimi, nor Jakup Krasniqi are the perpetrators of massacres of children, women, whose heads were cut off and thrown into canals as happened in Rajcak and in many other places. None of these four have been political or military protagonists. They became protagonists to protect their families, their tribe and their land and at a certain moment when Kosovo was in need, they risked their lives to protect the future of their parents, their children and themselves. None of the real perpetrators of crimes in the former Yugoslavia, in Bosnia, in Croatia, Kosovo, Slovenia have received sentences of this magnitude from the Hague Tribunal. Meanwhile, a Special Court of Kosovo has given a sentence equivalent to life imprisonment”, said Fevziu./ CNA
