The Court of Justice's decision on Balluk/Klosi: A body that is not elected

The Secretary General of the Socialist Party, Blendi Klosi, commented this evening on the Constitutional Court's decision on the "Balluku" case.

In an interview with Euronews Albania, Klosi said that people expected a final decision from the Constitutional Court and not a tie vote of the judges. Among other things, he stated that the Socialist Party will not accept that a body that is not elected by the citizens suspends a minister.

"For the sake of the chronicle, there is no decision of the Constitutional Court, but regarding the relationship with the SP, we stand very strongly on some principles. First, support for the new justice system and the bodies of the new justice system and what the new justice system decides."

The biggest discussion is about procedures, which is something else. Regarding the Constitutional Court's decision, we continue to firmly adhere to the principle on which the Prime Minister also reacted, the relationship between institutions, which is justice on one side, and the executive, for positions that are delegable.

"Can they be suspended or not? This is a clear decision for us, where we will never accept that a body that is not elected by the citizens suspends a minister, a non-delegable function ," said Klosi. /CNA
