The Special Prosecution has requested 2 years in prison for the 3 environmental inspectors Genci Hi?ka, Ilir Nishani and Gersion Tafa, who are accused of "Passive Corruption" committed in collaboration.
The three officials took a bribe of 30,000 lek from private clinics to avoid being fined for treating hospital waste. The incident occurred in 2020.
Hi?ka, Nishani, and Tafi were sent for trial in 2024.
