The Assembly "comes down" to AKEP for monitoring and transparency

The Chairman of the Electronic and Postal Communications Authority (AKEP), Gentian Sala, together with representatives of the institution, welcomed today, on a monitoring working visit, the Committee on Natural Resources, Infrastructure and Sustainable Development as well as the Committee on Civic Initiatives, Cooperation and Institutional Oversight.

The visit, which was chaired by the reciprocal chairmen of the committees, Ms. Anila Denaj and Mr. Fatmir Xhafaj, focused on fulfilling the legal obligations and regulatory functions of the institution, while also focusing on AKEP's role in regulating and developing the electronic and postal communications sector.

The meeting served to strengthen inter-institutional dialogue and ensure more effective parliamentary control over the functioning of strategic sectors, as well as to identify challenges and needs for improvement within the framework of sustainable development and digital transformation.

In his speech, the President of AKEP emphasized that this direct cooperation with the Parliament is essential to increase transparency and guarantee better quality services for citizens in a sector that is developing at a rapid pace./ CNA
