Former police chief Shemsi Prençi shared today details of communications made by the judge killed yesterday inside the Court of Appeals, Astrit Kalaja.
Invited to A2CNN, Prençi said that during the last coffee with colleagues, Kalaja had confessed to them that there was a problematic trial on Monday regarding property issues.
Prençi indicated that Judge Kalaja was unable to share this concern with anyone else because then the serious incident that took his life occurred.
"The late Kalaja told his colleagues in a cafe that he had a problematic trial over property issues. His colleagues told him. And he couldn't tell anyone else. And he felt it. Fate wanted him to be from Shkodra and the parties from Shkodra. If the trial had been in Shkodra, the police would have known the danger. And the new map of the division of the judiciary led to the extinction of the judiciary and the Republic," said Prençi./ CNA
