Murder of Judge Kalaja/ Former Prosecutor: We have given the judiciary status

Former prosecutor Arjan Ndoja stated today that the biggest problem with judicial system employees is that so far they have only been given status and their salaries have been increased, but they have not been guaranteed security.

Invited to 'Syri Tv', Ndoja mentioned several problems that judges face during their work.

Ndoja said that there is also a lack of investments in courtrooms and other facilities for judicial processes.

"With such events, pressure is put on the entire judicial body. There are some rules and principles that should speed up the judicial process. Apart from their salaries being increased, no other aspect has changed. No investment has been made in courtrooms. They are ceremonial. You have also seen it in movies, that to enter such institutions, one must go through checks. The courtroom must have employees and a security system. We only have it in cases when we have defendants in custody, not for other cases. I do not want to trivialize it, but it is like 'See you in court'. Courtrooms are few in number. The lack of conditions makes them create closeness and solemnity. We have given the judiciary a status, we have also increased their salary, but we have not changed anything else," said Ndoja. /CNA
