Dumani: External pressure from politics, media and organized crime towards SPAK

SPAK head Altin Dumani, during his report to the Parliament, gave an overview of the risk of crime and corruption in Albania. Dumani said that corruption has a high risk and undermines trust in institutions.
" The level of risk of organized crime appears serious, with drug trafficking presenting a high risk, and human trafficking presenting a medium risk.
Criminal groups continue to be active in the UK, Germany, Switzerland in cocaine and cannabis trafficking. Drugs are trafficked from Latin American countries. In terms of terrorism, the risk appears low.
Regarding corruption investigations, only 5.9% have been fired, 12% have been transferred, and 67% are under investigation.
In terms of the level of risk, corruption appears high.
Acts of corruption at the high level appear low but undermine trust in the rule of law.
54 joint investigation teams have been established and work is ongoing on 27.
