Electoral crimes/General Prosecutor's Office: Cases under investigation

Prosecutor General Olsjan Çela has responded to written questions directed by Agron Gjekmarkaj regarding electoral crimes.

Çela stated that there are several issues under investigation related to the use of public administration and public funds in the campaign.

"Regarding electoral crimes, several measures have been taken. The prosecution took steps to strengthen the institution with the CEC, SPAK, and the State Police to have a coordinated approach to increase the efficiency of investigating electoral crimes."

On our part, work was organized within the prosecution system, and special groups were established to investigate electoral crimes.

There are a number of issues that the investigation has covered. Even for the offense you are referring to, according to the data from the prosecution offices, there are several criminal cases related to the use of public administration and public funds in the election campaign.

Investigations are ongoing, the results of which remain to be seen this year or next year. It is the judges who will evaluate the cases.
