Flow at the border point in Qafë Thanë/ Long queues due to the holiday

This Friday, the Qafë Thana border crossing point has seen a flow of movement. According to the authorities of this border point, all this difficulty has been created because Albanians from North Macedonia and beyond, after spending the summer holiday in Elbasan, the capital, are returning to their cities of residence.

To cope with the influx, both border police are working with four exit counters for small vehicles and one lane has been left for heavy tonnage vehicles.

To avoid long lines, the two border police have agreed to work with an expedited procedure for those citizens who have documents from the neighboring country.

Over the last 24 hours, more than 8,500 citizens have entered and exited through this border point./CNA
