Former director of pre-trial detention in Vlora arrested/ In 2024 he denounced Minister Hoxha

The former director of the Vlora detention center, Zambak Gjoni, was arrested two days ago by order of the Special Prosecution Office against Corruption and Organized Crime and today the Special Prosecution Office against Corruption and Organized Crime has confirmed his security measure with "prison arrest".

The reasons that led to the arrest of the former director are still unclear.

The Special Prosecution Office has not yet provided any details on the arrest of Zambak Gjoni. Meanwhile, the investigative file has requested that the details of the case not be published.

Zambak Gjoni denounced in 2024 the current Minister of Interior Ervin Hoxha for abuse of office in connection with an unauthorized construction in Shkodra. /CNA
