New details have emerged from the scandal involving Irfan Hysenbelliu's 'Prestige' resort, where the administrator and four employees held four tax officials from the General Directorate of Taxes hostage.

CNA has learned that Tax inspectors have visited this entity for an inspection, which is carried out frequently during the summer tourist season in hotels, resorts and other entities with high activity during this period.

Tax inspectors suspected that this entity had problems with declarations, data hiding, and double balance sheets.

For this reason, they have requested the seizure of computers.

At this moment, the taxmen have fiercely confronted Irfan Hysenbelliu's men, who have held the employees hostage for about an hour.

According to the Police, the arrested citizens are Sajmir Ndrecaj, 34 years old, administrator of the resort, and employees: Zaho Jaçaj, security chief Artan Kasa, and 2 security employees Hamid Sula and Bujar Agolli.

According to the police, these citizens were arrested after it is suspected that, in collaboration with each other, on 18.07.2026, they obstructed and kept locked up, for a considerable time, within the premises of a resort in Golem, employees of the Task Force of the General Directorate of Taxes, who were performing their duties.

Irfan Hysenbelliu is known as a "problematic businessman" for tax authorities, as he does not pay taxes and obligations to the state.

For some time now, Hysenbelliu had also launched a battle and campaign of attacks against Tax officials, who demanded that he pay his obligations like any other businessman or taxpayer in accordance with the law. /CNA
