Note/As in 2017, Rama-Basha are moving to oust the SMI in the election

Four months before the April 25 parliamentary elections, Prime Minister Edi Rama and Democratic leader Lulzim Basha have reactivated their May 17, 2017 plan to oust the Socialist Movement for Integration.

Ilir Meta?s party, which is now led by Monika Kryemadhi, is known for its ?betrayals?, joining the SP and DP, according to its interests. But Rama and Basha have come together again to hit the SMI. On the one hand, Rama has taken action to get the main figures from this party, while on the other hand, Basha and his allies are not agreeing to appear on a joint list with the SMI.

Numerous are the figures who have recently abandoned the SMI, joining the Socialist Party. The biggest blow to Meta?s party was the departure of Nasip Naço, a leading name and figure of the SMI in Berat. Another name that recently joined Edi Rama is Lefter Koka, who has been a very strong point of Ilir Meta in Durrës.

The SMI has been abandoned by its other MP, Robert Bitri, joining Edi Rama. Edmond Haxhinasto, the trusted man of the affairs of Meta and Monika, has almost left the SMI. With Edi Rama has also joined Spartak Braho, one of Meta?s most trusted people, especially when the latter risked going to prison in 2012.

Braho has even shared with Rama terrible secrets of Ilir Meta and Monika Kryemadhi. So, Rama has managed to get Meta all the strong figures in the main cities of the country. The day Nasip Naço left the party of Meta and Kryemadhi, joining Rama, the SMI received a strong blow from Lulzim Basha. The latter stated that no party will form an alliance with the SMI in the elections of April 25, 2021. The plan was communicated by the head of Movement for National Development, Dashamir Shehi, who said that 5 parties had reached a pact with Lulzim Basha, to run on the DP list, while the SMI would run alone.

These are the parties of Fatmir Mediu, Nard Ndoka, Vangjel Dules, Shpëtim Idrizi and Dashamir Shehin himself. All of them, in coordination with Basha, have decided to leave only the SMI in the April 25 elections. ?The idea is that there will be two lists, with SMI and DP in separate lists. Some of us are in a relationship only with the DP, and it is up to this party to bring them all together. We as right- wing parties will be together?- said Dashamir Shehi for CNA.al. So it seems that the SMI, as the third largest party, is gong towards total crumbling./CNA.al
