The vetting "burns" the prosecutor of Durrës/ He is dismissed from office

The Independent Qualification Commission dismissed the prosecutor of Durrës, Ilir Hoxha, this Monday.

The National Authority for the Assurance of Classified Information had issued negative balances for the creation of some assets.

All the same, there were doubts about illegal actions in the exercise of the duty as well as about the findings in the professional criteria.

Although Hoxha objected to the negative balances, the jury decided by anonymous votes for his dismissal.

The KPK group was headed by Roland Ilia, with Suela Zhegun as speaker and Genta Tafa Bungo as member.

Ilir Hoxha started his career in the justice system in 1995 as an officer of the Judicial Police, which he practiced at the Prosecutor's Office of Pogradec.

In 2015, he was appointed prosecutor in the Prosecutor's Office of Saranda, while since 2023 he was transferred as a prosecutor in the Prosecutor's Office of Durrës./ CNA
