Yamal injured in Spain, Flick explodes against the Federation

Lamine Yamal will miss Barcelona's first home game of the season, against Valencia on September 14.

Coach Hansi Flick confirmed that the 18-year-old is unable to play. According to him, Yamal went to the Spanish national team training camp with pain, but was still active in two qualifying matches.

He played 79 minutes against Bulgaria and 73 minutes against Turkey, providing three assists, and was given a sedative to come off the field. Flick expressed his dissatisfaction with the way the Spanish federation handled the player's condition.

The German coach called the decision to use him wrong, especially when the matches were safe from the first half.

There is still no clear deadline for his return, but Barcelona will have a significant absence in this match.
