Teammate with Albania striker, agreement reached for Onana

Andre Onana is close to leaving Manchester United for Trabzonspor. The English club have reached a verbal agreement with the Turkish side to loan the Cameroonian goalkeeper until the end of the season.

The final decision remains in the hands of the player, who must accept the terms of the transfer. Onana has been at the centre of criticism after several errors that led to discontent among United fans, especially in the match against Grimsby in the League Cup.

Manchester United tried to sign Emiliano Martinez in the summer but the deal fell through. Instead, the club signed Belgian goalkeeper Senne Lammens from Antwerp.

With Lammens approaching, United appear willing to let Onana leave. Trabzonspor, meanwhile, see the Cameroonian as an important reinforcement in goal.
