Inter's "nightmares" return, the weakest start of the last decade

Inter have recorded one of the weakest starts to the season in the three-point-for-a-win era, with just one win in three weeks and two losses, against Udinese and Juventus.

Such a start has only been seen in the 2011/12 season, when Gian Piero Gasperini was on the bench. The defeat at the Allianz Stadium left Inter six points behind Juventus and Napoli, who lead the standings on full points.

Coach Chivu is calm about the future, but stressed that the team needed to manage the moments of the match better against the Bianconeri. The statistics are not positive: six goals conceded in three matches, with Sommer criticized for his mistakes and Akanji still adapting.

The midfield has shown problems, although Calhanoglu has scored two goals. Lautaro Martinez returned without his usual brilliance after his commitments with Argentina.

The club has held a meeting with the coach and technical staff to find solutions before the Champions League debut against Ajax.
