Works begin, AFF prepares two new fields

The Football Federation has started works on two football fields in the city of Gjirokastra, in cooperation with the Municipality of Gjirokastra, as part of investments for the development of sports infrastructure in the country. Both fields will be of standard dimensions and will serve the sports community and the development of football in this area.

One of the fields is existing and it is expected that the laying of the artificial turf will be carried out in early 2026. Meanwhile, thanks to the expropriations carried out by the Municipality of Gjirokastra, a new space has been secured in the city, where a new field will be built from the ground up, within the framework of the "100 Fields" project.

The construction of these two fields comes within the framework of the Football Federation's previous commitment, following the inauguration of the natural grass field at the "Luftëtari" stadium, and confirms the continued attention to the development of football in the city of Gjirokastra.
