The Albanian national team has begun training for the two friendly matches against Israel and Luxembourg.

Myrto Uzuni appeared at a press conference at the "Air Albania" stadium, where he spoke about the two challenges of June, the start of the new cycle with coach Rolando Maran, the positive atmosphere within the group and the objectives of the National Team in the upcoming competitions.

The red and black striker also emphasized that the team's objectives remain clear: first place in the Nations League and qualification for the European Championship.

How was the first meeting with the new coach and how is the atmosphere in the team? – Of course, since it is a new staff, the system is also different. With the new coach, I can play more offensively. As has happened before, when there was an offensive coach, we scored more goals.

The future, staying in America or will you return to Europe? – I have a contract with the Austin team. I had a very good offer in January, it was almost a closed transfer, but in the end it fell through, because there wasn't much flow to Austin.

New cycle with coach Maran? – Normally, everyone will show themselves. Everyone has quality and all players can play as starters, as they are the best players in Albania and, as I said, everyone has the opportunity to play as starters.

As I said before, I wish success to coach Silvinjo, we have had success together. As for the new coach, as you can see from the experience with the teams he has been in, his strikers have scored many goals and I hope this happens in the National Team as well.

Do you, as a coach, have the same objectives, first place in the Nations League and qualification for Euro 2028? – When you play for the National team, you always have goals, because you are playing for the nation. We want to come out on top in the Nations League and qualify for the European Championship. These are the goals that push us forward. If a player does not have the hunger and desire to play in the European Championship and win, then he is not welcome in the National team.
