Euro U-17 qualifiers, Albania's list published

The Albanian U-17 national team will begin training and preparations for the second round of the European Championship qualifiers for this age group on Sunday. The Reds and Blacks have been drawn in a group with Latvia and Ukraine, while the matches will take place in Albania on June 3, 6 and 9.

Coach Armand Dama has selected 20 players for this round, with most of the players having previously been part of national youth teams, guaranteeing continuity in the group.

Albania will play its first match against Latvia on June 3 at the "Arena Egnatia", at 17:00, while on June 9 it will face Ukraine, also at 17:00 in Rrogozhina.

This tournament has a special importance for the future of this generation, as the results directly affect the positioning of the teams for the upcoming U-19 European Championship 2028 qualifiers. According to UEFA regulations, the teams that rank first in the League B groups secure promotion to League A for the first round of the U-19 European Championship qualifiers.

In this context, a first place in the group for Albania would give the Rossoneri the opportunity to compete among the strongest European teams in the Euro U-19 2028 qualifying cycle.
