Behind the scenes revealed, Mourinho has signed for Real Madrid

Jose Mourinho is very close to returning to the Real Madrid bench, while it is reported that the agreement between the parties has already been reached and only the final procedures remain before the official announcement.

According to recent reports, the Portuguese coach has signed a contract with the Madrid club. The document foresees a collaboration until June 30, 2028, with an option to renew for an additional season until 2029. For Mourinho, it would be his second return to the management of “Los Blancos”, after his first experience in Madrid a few years ago.

The 63-year-old is expected to earn a salary of around 10 million euros per season. At the same time, he is working to close his contractual relationship with Benfica, a club he must leave before being made official by Real.

Although the agreement between the parties is considered complete, there is still a formal step that must be completed. Mourinho's officialization is directly linked to the Madrid club's presidential elections, scheduled for June 7. Florentino Perez, currently president of Real Madrid, is the main supporter of the Portuguese coach's return and is expected to win the mandate again.
