Kukes remains in the First Category, Butrint fails to make it

Kukësi has secured its place in the First Category after a 2-0 victory over Butrint in the "play off" match, held at the Egnatia Stadium in Rrogozhina.

The Northeasterners started the match more demandingly and took the lead in the 42nd minute through Alisson, helped by a deflection. In the second half, Tayo scored the second goal, sealing the victory for Kukës.

Butrint failed to react and the score remained unchanged until the end of the match. With this success, Kukësi remains in the First Category, while Butrint will continue in the Second Category.

Kukësi was initially relegated to the Second Category, but the regulations came to their aid. The situation arose after Bylis was relegated from the Superior and the inability for Bylis B to play in the same championship as the first team.

For this reason, the Albanian Football Association organized an additional match between Kukës and Butrint to determine the team that would play in the First Division next season.
