Unexpected stop at Real Madrid, Mourinho's return "stuck"

Jose Mourinho's return to Real Madrid is still on hold due to the Spanish club's presidential elections. The agreement between the parties has been prepared, with a two-year contract and an option for a third season in case of winning La Liga.

However, everything depends on the outcome of the elections where Florentino Perez will face Enrique Riquelme. Mourinho has already started planning the transfer market, looking for reinforcements in defense and midfield.

The Portuguese coach has suggested bringing in two central defenders, two midfielders and reinforcements on the defensive flanks. Camavinga and Ceballos could leave the team, while Rudiger's contract has not yet been renewed.

To release Mourinho, Real could pay up to 14 million euros, double the initial clause of 7 million euros. Mourinho is Perez's choice, while Enrique Riquelme has expressed reservations about the Portuguese's return, stating that the club needs a long-term project.
