Duel with Spain, France prepares "trap" for Yamal

Lamine Yamal remains one of the footballers being carefully monitored by France ahead of the World Cup semi-final against Spain.

Although he has only scored one goal in the tournament so far, against Saudi Arabia, the 18-year-old continues to be considered one of La Roja's main weapons.

Memories of recent clashes between Spain and France make him a special name for opponents. In the semi-finals of Euro 2024 he scored a decisive goal in Spain's 2-1 victory, while in the Nations League he scored twice in a 5-4 success.

Didier Deschamps is looking at alternatives in defence, with Lucas Digne as the main option on the left wing. France are expected to use double coverage and limit one-on-one situations to reduce Yamal's influence.

However, the Spaniard remains one of the players who can directly influence the fate of the match.
