The Minister of Health and Social Protection, Ogerta Manastirliu, has inspected the works at the Infectious Disease Hospital, which is expected to be completed soon to become a center of excellence for infectious diseases.

“Tashmë spitali ka përfunduar, siç shihet. Jemi në momentet e fundit të mobilimit, të vendosjes së aparaturave. Bëhemi gati që së bashku me të gjithë ekipin, me të gjithë ata të cilët kanë punuar, kanë kontribuar dhe janë në krye të detyrës ashtu sikurse kanë qenë përherë edhe do të jenë tashmë akoma më shumë të motivuar për të bërë më të mirën për qytetarët, të çelim dyert e këtij spitali. Me investimin që kemi bërë në infrastrukturë, ta kthejmë këtë spital në një qendër të vërtetë ekselence për sëmundjet infektive. Ky është objektivi dhe me misionin për të shërbyer sa më mirë qytetarëve shqiptarë”, tha Manastirliu.

The investment for the reconstruction of the Infectious Disease Hospital comes within the framework of the government's plan for coping with health emergencies, with the strengthening of capacities in the hospital system as well as the 2021-2022 Action Plan for the response to the Covid-19 pandemic.

The investment worth 5.6 million euros consists in the reconstruction and expansion of the capacities of the Infectious Disease Hospital. The hospital will have all the necessary state-of-the-art equipment as well as investments will be made for the entire monitoring network of all hospital activity, in the construction of the data network, for monitoring patients in real time. The new Infectious Disease Hospital will also be equipped with an auditorium and lecture halls for medical students./ CNA.al
