Rama: Qatari Prime Minister will visit Albania in the first months of 2026

Prime Minister Edi Rama, in today's episode of his podcast "Flasim", also spoke about his visit to Doha, Qatar. Rama said that in the meeting with the Prime Minister of Qatar, Sheikh Muhammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al Thani, they discussed many topics, while adding that he will come to Albania in the first months of 2026.

The head of government said that they will bring to the country one of the most prestigious excellences of the hospital service, which according to him will have a positive impact on increasing the standards of the public hospital service.

"A few days ago, I visited Doha and spent several hours of intense discussions with my dear friend, the Prime Minister of Qatar, Sheikh Muhammad bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al Thani, one of the most talented and respected leaders in the world today, who will very much like to come to Albania in the first months of the new year. We touched on many topics with the Prime Minister and will prepare an ambitious cooperation agenda, which we will make public during his visit to Albania, but I can say from today that we will bring to our country one of the most prestigious excellences of hospital service, whether as a private practice or as a public-private partnership practice, which will have a very positive impact on increasing the standards of our public hospital service", said the Prime Minister.

Rama also spoke about the European summit on the new Growth Plan, where he said that valuable views were shared on further economic integration in the region and our integration as a region into the European Common Market.

"Also this week, Albania hosted a European summit, this time between the countries of the region and the European Commission, on the new Growth Plan, where together with the leaders of the Western Balkans and the European Commissioner for Enlargement, Albania's invaluable friend, Marta Kos and her team of experts, we took stock of the progress of the new growth plan, shared valuable views on further economic integration in the region and our integration as a region into the European Common Market. Albania can no longer be stopped by anyone and for any reason, while its international quotas continue to grow, with a lot of work here in Albania and with a lot of pride and dignity in representing Albania in the international arena", said Rama. /CNA
