"This flag, the symbol that united us in the most difficult days"/

The President of Kosovo, Vjosa Osmani, has congratulated the 113th anniversary of Independence.

Through a post on social media, while sharing footage from the inauguration ceremony in Vlora today, Osmani writes that not only Independence is honored, but also the independence of the nation.

The President of Kosovo states that this flag is our common history and the symbol of unity in the most difficult days.

113 years ago, the flag that unites the hearts of all Albanians wherever they are was raised in Vlora.

Today, when we raise this red and black flag again, we honor not only Albania's Independence Day, but also the sacrifice of the entire nation, from Vlora to Pristina, from Shkodra to Skopje, to Mitrovica, Presheva and Ulcinj, in exile and wherever the Albanian heart beats.

This flag is our common history, the symbol that united us in the most difficult days and that guides us today towards a European future.
