Political scientist Krasniqi: The political elite 'keeps institutional

Political scientist Afrim Krasniqi today spoke extensively about the issue of corruption in Albania.

Invited to A2 CNN, Krasniqi underlined that political elites are the most corrupt part of society, as they operate outside any kind of Western standards.

According to the political scientist, this level of corruption does not come from ordinary citizens, but from political parties that continue to 'recycle' the same individuals.

"Albania continues to be a country far from the aspirations and expectations and opportunities it had. a country with a high level of corruption and a country where the political elites are the most corrupt part of society and where they are to some extent the main pillars that maintain institutional corruption in Albania. The great corruption in Albania is not done by the simple citizen, it is not done by the unprotected citizen, but by the people who have access to decision-making in parliament, in the executive and in political parties and they continue to recycle each other and continue to refuse to face justice in any form and with any possible pressure.
