SHOW THAT WE ARE DIFFERENT!

Quite a few journalist colleagues who crossed the border with Serbia, in addition to publicly, call me on the phone and tell me angrily how they were searched thread by thread by the Serbian police, including their bodies, how they were held for 4 hours, etc. etc., coming to the conclusion that this is how we should treat Serbian journalists when they come to Albania, this is how our police should behave, to continue that we do not have a state, etc. etc.

Oh God, thank God we are different! I say it quite openly and take it for granted, or not, I would rather accept a policeman who takes a pack of cigarettes from you when you cross the border than a policeman who, with an unwritten order, holds you in a state of repression for hours on end in vain...

Twice as thankful that we are different!

And when Albanians come from Belgrade with broken car windows, while in Tirana the Serbs not only don't get a hair touched, but even at some suburban kiosk in Tirana they catch some Lepa Brenë in the background... Thrice grateful that we are different! I have never been more proud in my life when, in a fact-finding mission in Kosovo, a United Nations project, together with 7 other international journalists, we included in the final report the golden sentence: "The KLA, unlike the Serbs, in any situation of war, no matter how complicated, did not touch women and children."

You see, brother, how good it is that we are different! I remember after the '90s a group of patriots and true Albanians who tried to make a counter-project "Cubrillovic" at the Academy of Sciences... it was not realized... there were even articles that UDB financed so that it would not be made... But if it is true, I say it with all my heart: Thank you UDB!

100 times, brother, be thankful that we are different!

Thank you 1000 times for being different!

PS: And something… stop the pressure you put on the feet of footballers, hanging on their feet like cannonballs, folklorically, asymmetrically and unfairly, the blood of Adem Jashari, the KLA, mothers with torn bellies, etc. etc. Let Albin do this job. I am sure that even if Çerçiz Topulli were alive, he would say briefly and in Albanian: “I will deal with the Turks myself, let my boys play football!”/ CNA
