"Arlind Qori a communist who does not say he is a communist"/Hasimja: It hides behind euphemisms
Yesterday evening on the "Opinion" show, a fierce deba...

Is democracy important for Albania? Do we really want a democratic Albania? We would all answer this question without question: "Yes, we love democracy!"
Then let's come to the next question: "Is democracy in danger in our country?" I would say "Yes!", with my mouth full.
Who is to blame? - would be the next question. Many people may not like the answer, but both the position and the opposition are responsible for the endangered democracy.
Does Albania need political rotation after 12 years of socialist government? Yes, most citizens would answer without question. Even the rotation should have happened in 2021.
But...
There's always a but... And that has to do with the current opposition.
How ready is she to lead the country?
The true guarantee of democracy is undoubtedly the existence of the opposition. Any attempt to undo the opposition is an attempt to undo democracy.
Otherwise, the majority may very well turn into an irrepressible authoritarianism and, therefore, into an authoritarian system, necessarily overthrown by revolution. Of course, it is clear that the majority makes the government, but the opposition is equally important, not only because it fights not to allow governance mistakes and is the mirror where the position can see itself and correct itself, but also because, after all, democracy is representative.
But, in Albania, the opposition chooses to look at things with logic: "NO for everything", "all or nothing". To reject what can be done under current conditions in favor of what should ideally be done.
Here I am not talking about issues for which there are respected and understandable ideological or value references. I refer to issues or initiatives with a generally accepted benefit to many people. What does the opposition do in such cases? She has pre-decided "NO to everything" or "all or nothing", while essentially agreeing to the direction. So, deciding in advance that he does not agree, he invents various pretexts, threatens: "it is not a comprehensive solution", "it is not enough for everyone", "and who is to say that it will not happen this way or that..." .
What the opposition forgets is that many problems cannot wait for the search for an ideal solution. And that they are not solved by magic, but step by step, with trials, sometimes with failures, with improvements. Even what we call "cuts" and "jumps" are done because they are well studied in advance. Complex reality has neither easy nor quick solutions. Let the opposition take this into account, especially when it has higher, governing ambitions...
On the other hand, what does the government want?
An opposition that will say "no" to everything, that will only throw stones and not propose anything, or an opposition that will make amendments, take initiatives and present a political agenda.
I very much doubt that the government wants exactly the first one: the conflicted opposition, which says "No" to everything, which has no initiatives or political agenda.
Precisely because the opposition does not have an alternative government proposal, it goes to the extreme of denying and denouncing everything, just to say that it is opposing every proposal or decision of the government without distinction. After all, they aim at non-governance and, precisely for this reason, it is inappropriate to assume governing responsibility for the general good.
It is exposed, annulled and finally practices a blind opposition and a futile opposition of "no to everything" and "yes to nothing". And citizens see, judge and draw their own conclusions.
There is no doubt that Albania needs a strong government, but at the same time it also needs a strong opposition, which can face it, without threats and useless screams and criticism, which when repeated without arguments become baseless.
The opposition must already understand that an opposition "no to everything", although it may be in God's right, is not acceptable for the Albanian society, which in these 34 years of transition has gone through a very toxic political life and already it perceives from miles away the partisan and populist tendencies that oppose the common good and its progress.
Because it is not normal for the opposition to say "no" to everything. To say no to persons, ideas, initiatives, laws. To accuse and prejudice everything and everyone and to say "YES" to everything old and regressive in its bosom: people, outdated, worn out, tried and failed figures, lynching of political opponents and not only; to say "YES" to the regression of lack of ideas and "NO" to the new, new people, new ideas, diversity and opposition of thoughts.
Do we need an opposition that would make a political debut with ideas and action in the opposition arena, or an opposition that has decided to hide under the "NO's" that are heard in the Assembly hall, but also in the loudspeakers of society.
But one thing is certain: Society often says "No" to such an opposition, which says "no" to everything, says "no" to an unintelligent and non-competitive opposition.
