Photo - Grama Bay, the hidden paradise that carries history
A few kilometers away from the city of Vlora is Grama ...

Very close to the Monastery of Saint Theodhor and the beaches of Dhërmi is the Pirate's Cave.
With a depth of 40 meters, this cave has been described by geographers as the largest marine cave in the country, with numerous pockets inside it.
The cave entrance consists of two large cavities. Within the space of the cave, the rock massifs that make up its sides can be distinguished. Soot marks and traces of fires can be seen on its damp walls.
In the upper part there is a circular cavity through which the sun's rays penetrate.
Located on sharp rocks, in a very deep sea that takes on the "color of summer", the cave preserves important touristic values ??that bring you back to the Middle Ages.
According to legend, the cave was once a haven for pirates and ships.
The way to get to this cave is by sea, so even summer is the ideal time to visit it.
In summer, the sea is calm, while in winter, the waves crashing furiously on the rocks of the cave block its entrance.
This cave has become more and more a tourist attraction, due to its location, but also the history and fascinating landscape it offers./ CNA
