The Kosovo Criminal Court has decided to leave in force the prison sentence for Jozi Kraja, the 37-year-old who was extradited from Switzerland on January 28.

Jozi Kraja is accused of a series of serious criminal offenses. The 37-year-old is accused of providing the conditions and material means to commit the murder of two brothers, Durim and Valter Bami.

Announcement of the GJKKO

The applicant, the Special Prosecution Office against Corruption and Organized Crime, on 27.01.2026, submitted to the Court the request with the subject matter: "Interrogation and verification of the conditions and criteria for the implementation of the personal security measure, determined by decision No. 49, dated 15.05.2024 of the Special Court of First Instance for Corruption and Organized Crime, against the defendant Jozi Kraja".

2. At the end of the trial, the Special Court of First Instance for Corruption and Organized Crime, with a panel composed of Judge Erjon Çela, based on Articles 112, 228, 229, 230, 238 and 248 of the Code of Criminal Procedure, with decision no. 6, dated 29.01.2026, decided:

1. Continuation of the implementation of the coercive personal security measure "Arrest in prison" provided for by Article 238 of the Code of Criminal Procedure, determined by decision No. 49, dated 15.05.2024 of the Special Court of First Instance for Corruption and Organized Crime against the defendant: Jozi Kraja, accused of committing the criminal offenses: "Providing conditions and material means to commit murder", to the detriment of citizens DB and VB, committed in special collaboration with the structured criminal group, provided for by Articles 80 and 28/4 of the Criminal Code; "Structured criminal group", in the form of participation, provided for by Article 333/a, paragraph 2 of the Criminal Code; "Commitment of criminal offenses by a criminal organization and a structured criminal group", provided for by Article 334, point 1 of the Criminal Code.

2. The Judicial Police is ordered to immediately send the defendant Jozi Kraja to the detention facility, to remain there at the disposal of the proceeding body.

3. The Special Prosecution Office against Corruption and Organized Crime, and the judicial police are ordered to implement this decision.

4. The defense attorney appointed by the court for the defendant Jozi Kraja, attorney EG, shall be remunerated according to the fees provided for by law.

5. An appeal against this decision may be filed with the Special Court of Appeal against Corruption and Organized Crime within 5 days from the notification of the court's decision./ CNA
