Driving a vehicle, armed/ 39-year-old arrested in Tirana

A 39-year-old man was arrested on Dibra Street after being armed with a pistol.

Citizen RT has been arrested for the criminal offense of "Unlicensed production and possession of weapons, explosive weapons and combat ammunition".

Meanwhile, the firearm with a magazine and cartridges, as well as the 39-year-old's vehicle, were seized as material evidence.

Police announcement:

Tirana/The operation codenamed "Owner" against illegal possession of weapons is being finalized by Police Station No. 4.

The 39-year-old was arrested on Dibra Street while driving a vehicle armed with a pistol.

The firearm with the magazine and ammunition, as well as the vehicle, were seized.

The services of Police Commissariat No. 4, within the framework of successive actions, based on controls and operational work, with a focus on identifying and cracking down on cases of illegal possession of weapons, finalized the operation codenamed "The Possessor".

During the operation, on Dibra Street, the vehicle driven by citizen RT was stopped. 1 firearm, a pistol with a magazine and cartridges, which was possessed without a permit by this citizen, was found in the vehicle.

At the end of the procedural actions, citizen RT, 39 years old, resident of Tirana, was arrested in flagrante delicto, for the criminal offense of "Unlicensed production and possession of weapons, explosive weapons and combat ammunition".

The procedural materials were referred to the Tirana Prosecutor's Office for further action. /CNA
